Springburn is an inner city area of the large Scottish city of Glasgow. It is in the northern part of the city. It grew from a small hamlet. It underwent industrial expansion over the years. The locomotive industry was particularly strong. The highest point in Springburn, and within the entire City of Glasgow, is the well-known Balgrayhill Park. A statue commemorating the park’s founder can be found within the grounds. There are plans for regeneration, as the area is home to some lovely old, but now disused, buildings.
