The Banff National Park or simply known as the Banff, is the oldest national park in Canada. It is situated in the Rocky Mountains and was setup in the year 1885. Basically located in the Alberta province in Canada, numerous mountains, glaciers, ice fields, alpine landscapes and coniferous forests cover the extended area of this national park. A number of other national parks and zoos are located nearby the Banff National Park.
Some of the famous species of animals that can be found in the Banff National Park are cougars, grizzly bears and wolves among others. Threatened species such as Caribou are also found here but these are rarely spotted.
