Termoli is a small commune (town) on the Adriatic coast. It was small and primarily a fishing village until post-WWII when Italians discovered the excellent beaches of the area. The activity most highly recommended is a guided boat tour of Tremeti Island. This Islet is set not far from the city. The water surrounding the Island is said to be clear enough to see the caverns and seabed without having to snorkel or dive. Also a short distance from the city is an old observation tower. This is a historic site said to be unique by Italian visitors. Of course, beaches are the reason why many come to Tremoli, and they are a popular place for spending a day relaxing.
