Lagos is a city and municipality in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. Located at the mouth of the Bensafrim River facing the Atlantic Ocean, Lagos is a popular tourist destination, renowned for its varied attractions such as sandy beaches, vibrant nightlife, summer parties and historical landmarks. This city was also the main historical center during Portugal's Age of Discovery.
