This moderately sided community is conveniently located about an hour from the Gulf of Mexico. It has a handful of interesting attraction and other activities an easy daytrip from this community.
Most famous in Harlingen is the Iwo Jima monument and museum. This monument is similar, though much bigger than the one in the Capitol. The museum commemorates the victory of the American Forces over the Japanese, effectively brining the Second
War to an end. If you are not into war history, you can take in the many excellent birding and hiking sites within the city.
When you are ready to have a bite to eat, be sure to try one of the excellent Mexican restaurants or Texan-style cookout joints. Of course, more traditional “American” fare is also available.
The best way to see Harlingen and the area is by car. VIP Cars recommends booking early to be assured of your choice of vehicle.
