The city of Bregenz is the capital city of Vorarlberg which is located in the western part of Austria. Bregenz is an ancient city with its earliest settlement dating back to 1500 BC. It is located on the banks of Lake Constance and also at the foot of Pfander Mountain. The nearest airport is in Altenrhein Switzerland. Traveling around Bregenz can be done easily by renting a car from VIP Cars. You can then visit the attractions in the city as well as the surrounding countryside.
A visit to the top of Pfander Mountain by cable car is one of the more popular things to do while staying in Bregenz. On top you will have stunning views of the lake and the Alps. You may choose to hike back down the mountain on one of the many hiking paths available after you have visited the small zoo and seen the popular birds of prey show.
