Maisieres is a village located near Mons within the province of Hainaut. The history of Mons dates back to the seventh century with plenty of old relics that are still standing today.One of the many places to visit is the Grand Palace which is currently the town’s center and where the staged mock battle of Lumecon is staged. Also check out the neighboring belfry which is a world heritage site as stated by UNESCO. There is the collegiate church of Sainte-Waudru that characterizes Brabant’s gothic design.
