Campo Grande International Airport, which is often referred to by the alternative name of AntônioJoão Airport, after the neighbourhood in which it is located, was first opened in 1953 and the passenger terminal was finished in 1964. There are a number of airlines currently offering flights to and from the airport, all of which are currently domestic flights from airlines such as Avianca Brazil and Gol Airlines.

The airport is located to the south west of the city centre and it has easy access to all of the roads leading into and out of the city. Therefore it is a great location from which to hire a car when you arrive in the city.
