Batel is a district of Curitiba just outside the Centro district. It lies to the south west of the city centre and is home to the Equus Shopping Centre. There are many things to do and see in Batel, including the Castelo do Batel. The district is a pretty one to stay in because there are many parks around for you to wander in, but there are also good hotels, restaurants and bars as well for accommodation and evening entertainment.
You can hire a car in Batel to get you around and to provide you with transport to explore the rest of Curitiba. The road network is a good on and you can get around easily by car. You can pre-book your car through VIP cars so all you have to do when you need it is to pick it up and drive it away to do your exploring.
