Canasvieiras is a district of Florianópolis in the north of the main island. The area is mostly a residential area but it is also a great place for tourists as there are a number of facilities specifically dedicated to supporting the tourist industry. The district lies on the north coast of the island and is home to a number of high quality beaches, which can be enjoyed by staying in one of the hotels in the district. Alternatively, if you want a little more adventure you can camp at the Costa do Sol campsite.

If you hire a car through VIP cars you can explore the island to your heart’s content and visit many of the 42 beaches the island has on offer. Or you can take the SC-401 to take you out into the area surrounding Canasvieiras to see some of the countryside and some of the smaller villages and towns.
