Sao Bento Do Sul is a small town situated in southern Brazil. The town is situated in the northeast part of the state of Santa Catarina just south of the state of Parana. The town was first established by the Kolonisations Verein von 1849 in Hamburg. Sao Bento Do Sul is regarded as an industrialized city by all accounts and as such that is conceived an inherent part of the local social identity. There are numerous strong industries active in the region but the municipality is generally renowned for its production of textiles and furniture. There are people from a lot of countries and it is very common to find people of Germany, Poland or Italy or Portugal on a regular basis.
