Santa Catarina is a state located in southern Brazil. Its capital is Florianopolis which welcomes the maximum foreign tourists. The beaches alongside the coast of 561 km are anoutstanding attraction for tourists visiting the smallest state of the South Region. In the mountain region, particularly Urupema and Sao Joaquim is an attraction in winter due to its low temperatures and the snow. Santa Catarina offers several sights and events around the year- thermal mineral resorts, historic monuments and sights, rural tourism, beach resorts of Florianopolis, and Beto Carrero World and Unipraias parks. Amongst July and November, the Right whales visit the state's coast. The numerous festivities go on in October. The key Oktoberfest of Blumenau is Brazil's largest and the2nd largest in the world.
