Tres Lagoas is a municipality located in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Tres Lagoas is the 3rd most populated city in the state. The city was established in 1915 and is named for 3 lakes in the region. The city is culturally different but very close to southern culrures such as Catarinense and Gaucho. Large festivals are held here as well as rodeos. The city is served by Plinio Alarcom Airport.Tres Lagoas means three ponds and this is a famous municipality in Brazil, and is quite fully populated. In fact it was found in 1915, but the people had started living here even around 1880.
