Aarhus Airport is in Tirstrup, Denmarl and is a civilian airport. During the Cold War, it was used as a military base by the Danish and their allied forces till 1990. In May 2011, the airport carried 591, 335 passengers. It also housed several airlines such as British Airways, Ryanair, and Scandinavian Airlines.
