Nocera Inferiore is a town located in the north of Salerno Province in the Campania region. It is in the south of the country and is around 20 km from Naples. Nocera Inferiore has existed since around the 6th century BC and has been attacked and destroyed several times during its history. The town is a great place to stay for a holiday and you can rent a car in order to explore some of the surrounding countryside, towns and cities. You can use your car to explore the town and visit the castle there. Or perhaps you could travel the 3 km to the 6th century Santa Maria Maggiore church, and interesting circular church supported by 40 ancient columns and whose walls are covered by 14th century frescoes.
