Shinkansen is a network of high-speed railway lines in Japan controlled by 4 Japan Railways Group companies. Beginning with the Tokaido Shinkansen in 1964, the network has elaborated to presently comprise of 2,387.7 km of lines. The Tokaido Shinkansen is the busiest high-speed rail line in the world. The main Shinkansen lines are - Sanyo Shinkansen, Joetsu Shinkansen, Tokaido Shinkansen, Tohoku Shinkansen, Nagao Shinkansen, and Kyushu Shinkansen. Hiroshima has a professional symphony orchestra. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park attracts several visitors from throughout the world. The park also has a huge collection of monuments including the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, Children's Peace Monument and various others.
