Sendai Train Station is a major railway station located in Sendai, Miyagi. The station was opened on December, 15, 1887. This station is a stop for all Tohoku Shinkansen and Akita trains, a main stop on both the Senseki Line and Tohoku Main Line, and the eastern terminus for the Senzan Line. Sendai Train Station is situated on the boundaryamongst Aoba Wards and Miyagino in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. The station is served by services controlled by Sendai Airport Transit, East Japan Company, and Sendai Subway.Sendai is the major city located in Tohoku region of Honshu Island. Tanabata festival is most renowned in Japan and begins with fireworks on 5th Aug. In December, there is the Pageant of Starlight which is not actually a festival intrinsically.
