Mauritius’ cobalt-blue seas, white sand beaches, and a network of luxury resorts conjures up images of water sports and beach sunbathing. However, the fishermen’s village of Souillac creates a very different picture than you have ever imagined. Drive straightaway to the Rochester Falls as you set your foot on accelerator. Located couple of miles away, waterfall is well approachable via village road that takes you there in no time. Since La Nef Museum, the house of Robert Edward Hart, an Irish-Mauritian poet and writer, is on your way to the Gris Gris beach, you can make a stop here for couple of minutes.
