Ciudad Satellite usually called Satellite is a suburb in the Greater Municipality of Mexico city. It was founded in 1957 and continues to grow into a large city of its own. Satellite is most a middle-class area; however the suburb has split into distinct socio-economic segments over the years, as a result of growth. Ciudad Satellite was meant to be a sleeper-community for the city of Mexico City proper. A greenbelt was supposed to be maintained and link the two communities; however the growth and need for space made this impractical. While the suburb was supposed to be much looks like American suburbs, with wide streets and bungalows. However, in dramatic departure from this vision, the city today is filled not only with single-family houses, but many apartments, high-rise buildings and even condos. To get in and around Satellite, car rental is the most practical option. Book your car today with VIP Cars.
