Ponta Delgada is a city and municipality located on the Sao Miguel Island in the archipelago of the Azores. Ponta Delgada is the administrative capital of the Sovereign Region of the Azores. Lagoa das Sete Cidades Furnas Villa do Nordeste Sightseeing is a main attraction in the city. The sightseeing is generally prepared in tours which can go about 3 hours long. One of the best places to visit is Furnas. The 2nd biggest destination is the Lagoa do Forgo which are striking volcanic landscapes and stunning scenery of the beaches. Another outstanding place to visit is the Noreste. You can also visit to Sete Cidades. Here you will discover magnificent scenery of Lago Azul and Lagoa Verde. The Church of Sao Jose is also an excellent place to visit. If you are more concerned in history, you may also wish to make a visit to the Carlos Machado Museum.
