Guarda is a city located in Guarda Municipality, Portugal. Guarda is the major city in its district, the Beira Interior Norte Subregion in the Centro region, and the capital of the Guarda District. The key attraction in the city is the cathedral recognized as the Se da Guarda. Guarda is a diocese of the similar name. The city is served by two main trainlines named as the Linha da Beira Baixa and the Linha da Beira Alta.
