Guarda has a few attractions of note for travelers to visit in it. The Sé da Guarda is an imposing medieval cathedral built here in the 14th century in a mix of Gothic and Manueline styles. The Town Museum is another important landmark here containing historical artifacts, and is housed in the Old Bishops Palace.
