Mem Martins is a parish located in the Sintra Municipality of Portugal. This town is officially known as Algueirão–Mem Martins and is one of the mostly densely populated areas in the country. The Algueirão part of the name comes from the Arab presence in the area who called this region 'al-gueirān' meaning 'the caves'.

Sintra Municipality, in which this parish is located, is known for its Romantic architecture which has helped the cultural landscape of Sintra to acquire the prestigious 'World Heritage Site' status. The Pena National Palace is the main attraction here and has been classified as one of the 'Seven Wonders of Portugal'. Sintra National Palace is another prominent landmark here and is one of the best preserved medieval royal palaces in the country. Other attractions here include Castle of the Moors, the Águas Livres Aqueduct and Queluz National Park.
