Santo Tirso is a city and municipality situated in the north of Porto Metropolitan Area, Porto District in Portugal. In the region, the Ave Valley, there is a major center of textile industry. Another significantcenter in the municipality is Vila Das Aves. The patron saint is St. Benedict and is celebrated every year on 11 July.
