Vila do Conde is a town and municipality located in the Norte region of Portugal. Located on the Atlantic Coast, this town is among the oldest settlements in Portugal and has been an important port since the medieval ages. The Porto-Francisco de Sá Carneiro International Airport is also located close to this town and is the second busiest airport in the country.
Vila do Conde has a number of attractions for travelers to see. The Convent of Santa Clara is a historical complex built in the 14th century and includes the Gothic Saint Clara Church and Manueline constructions. Other attractions here are the Igreja de São João Baptista, considered to be the Mother Church of the city, the 10th century Capela da Nossa Senhora da Guia, the Igreja Matriz de Azurara, the Church of the Misericórdia, and the Casa do Despacho.
