Pretoria city is located in the northern part of Gauteng Province.Pretoria is also known for its vast number of Jacaranda trees; hence it is sometime also referred to as The Jacaranda City. Pretoria is located north northeast of Johannesburg at a distance of approximately 55 kilometers. Pretoria always has had diverse cultural influences which is reflected in it architecture. The National Botanical gardens, the Union Buildings, etc. are a few treat for the eyes and are also among the tourist attractions. The National Zoological Gardens can also be included in the sightseeing list for leisure travelers. There are a few nature reserves that also catch the eye, namely the Groenkloof Nature Reserve, the Rietvlei Nature Reserve, etc.
