Algeciras is a port city located in the Cádiz province of southern Spain. The largest city on the Bay of Gibraltar, this city is also a part of the autonomous community of Andalusia. The Port of Algeciras is one of the largest ports in Spain and serves all three categories, which are - container, cargo and transshipment. The city's economy is also based mostly on its reputation as a transport hub and its related industries.
There are a number of attractions for travelers to visit in Algeciras. The Chapel of Our Lady of Europe is one of the main landmarks in the city. This chapel was built in the early 18th century in baroque style. Other attractions here include the Hornos Romanos del Rinconcillo, which are Roman furnaces dating back to the 1st century and the Torres de la Huerta del Carmen.
