Javea is a coastal town located in the comarca of Marina Alta in the province of Alicante, Spain. Javea is located after a broad bay and protected between two rocky headlands and has become a renowned small seaside resort and market town. Javea has good road links to regional capital and both Valencia and Alicante airports are just an hour's drive away. The Church of Sant Bartomeu was registered as a national Historic and Artistic Monument in 1931 and stays a centerpiece of Javea' Old Town. There is an ethnographic museum, Museum Arqueologic i Etnografic Soler Blasco and an art gallery in the old town. The sandy beach area is an arc of extensive white sand lined by a promenade.
