Rota is a Spanish municipality situated in the Province of Cadiz, Andalusia. Rota is situated close to the Jerez de la Fronteracity and is around 36 km away from the provincial capital, Cadiz. Situated beside the Bay of Cadiz in the Atlantic Ocean, Rota is mainly a tourist town, a holiday destination for travelers from throughout Europe. Castillo de Luna or Moon Castle is a rectangular fortification with five towers directedround a central courtyard. Torre de la Merced is a square and octagonal tower completed in a semi-sphere, enclosed with while tiles and bright blue. Capilla de la Caridad is situated in the middle of the town. The church was completed in Baroque style and comprises a Latin cross. Renowned for golden sand and clean sea, Rota is enclosed by 16 km of stunning beaches.
