Gabès is a large city and Mediterranean port located in east central Tunisia. Capital of the Governate of Gabès, this city lies within the Gulf of Gabès and is one of the biggest industrial cities in the country. Tourism is a steadily growing industry here and this city is known for its traditional souqs.
