Bedford is the county town of Bedfordshire, in the east of England and easily accessible to the country’s capital city of London. The name Bedford is thought to have come from the name of a Saxon chief, Beda. Historically, Bedford was a market town. Unfortunately, only a mound remains of the former castle.
