Bournemouth is a large coastal and seaside town in England’s county of Dorset. It is a popular holiday and retirement spot. There is a major conference and music venue in the town. A lovely pier includes a theatre and is a great spot for walking. There is a very vibrant nightlife, with bars, clubs and restaurants all providing late night entertainment venues.
There are over 200 old listed buildings in the area, many from the Victorian and Edwardian periods. This mix of architecture makes for pleasant viewing. There is an excellent museum, many churches, public gardens and peaceful parks. Bournemouth is also home to many festivals held yearly. With a strong literary history, the grave of famous author Mary Shelley is found in the town. For those who are brave, the Bournemouth Eye provides great views.
