Lying at the foothills of the Pennine Mountains in West Yorkshire one will find the former industrial city of Bradford. It was known as the wool capital of the world once upon a time. Known for having a very diverse ethnic population, many different nationalities call Bradford home today. There are many old mills and some great example of Victorian architecture around Bradford.
The oldest building in Bradford is the beautiful cathedral. Another medieval building, known as Bolling Hall, is now an interesting museum. In the City Hall you can see many former leaders of England preserved in statue form. The area called Little Germany shows a fascinating different side of Bradford. There are museums and art galleries to see, as well as Europe’s third oldest concert hall, St George’s Hall. A grand and ornate building, you will surely be left in awe. There are over 30 parks and gardens to explore, and a great number of memorials.
