London Paddington, also known as Paddington Railway Station, is a major train station in London. It operates services on both the overland line and on the London Underground, which is also often called The Tube.
A historic site; it is the London terminus of the Great Western Railway since 1838. There are 14 platforms with standard passenger facilities; London Paddington also has a very comfortable first class lounge, which offers free refreshments, wifi, and TVs. There are 2 services linking London Heathrow. In the station there is a delightful statue of the fictional Paddington Bear, who was named after the station. The popular children’s book character was found at the station, having been shipped from Peru, with a tag around his neck asking someone to “please look after this bear, thank you”.
