Victoria Train Station, also known as Manchester Victoria, is one of the large and important city’s train stations. It is the city’s second largest train station, and sees many passengers passing through its gates, both on business and on pleasure. It is near to the cathedral, in the north of the city centre, and services destinations to the north and to the east of Manchester.
Opened in 1839, the Edwardian building has a lovely frontage. It shows the names of the original destinations that were served from the train station, as well as an interesting mural. It is a major station for people visiting the next door Manchester Arena. There are excellent passenger facilities. You can conveniently collect your rental car from right outside the station.
