Pembroke is a town in Pembrokeshire in west Wales. The town’s name means "Land's End." Pembroke Castle is a major tourist attraction in the town. It is the remains of a medieval stone castle and is where King Henry VII was born. With strong links to the early Christian church, it was later the site of the Knights of St John. Monkton Priory also has links to the Knights. Oliver Cromwell had his headquarters in the town during the Siege of Pembroke in the English Civil War. The ferry port is in a separate town, known as Pembroke Dock. Rugby is a very popular sport in the town.
