Penzance Train Station serves the Cornish town of Penzance. It is the western terminus of the Cornish Main Line from London Paddington station, which is almost 500 kilometres long. To get to London from Penzance by rail is around five to six hours. Sleeper trains operate on the route. An interesting feature is a large stone with inscriptions welcoming people to the town. One side of the station is built on the sea wall near the harbour, whilst another side is cut into the hillside. There is a tourist information centre outside of the train station, inside the bus station. There are good passenger facilities. Penzance Train Station sees many people coming to visit the historical and natural delights of the area, as well as for a fun and relaxing seaside holiday.
