Sleaford is a town in the English county of Lincolnshire. It is 30 kilometres away from the main city of Lincoln. Until fairly recently, Sleaford was mainly an agricultural town, with a regular cattle market. Today, it is seeing developments in the areas of crafts and tourism. Places of interest in the town include the large Saint Deny’s Parish Church with the oldest stone broach spire in England. The alter rail was created by Sir Christopher Wren. It also has beautiful and elegant stained glass windows and intricate gargoyle heads. Cogglesford Mill is an old water mill from the 1600s. Money’s Mill in the town centre is an old windmill and now serves as the tourist information centre. The Handley Monument is another interesting place to see in Sleaford.
