Solihull is a town in the West Midlands of England. It is 15 kilometres outside of the major city of Birmingham. The early town was a clearing in a forest, where people would go to trade. There is a lot of fine old historic architecture in the town including surviving examples of timber framed Tudor style houses and shops. Saint Alphege Church is a lovely place to see in Solihull and is a good example of early Gothic design. In Brueton Park, there is a lovely lake to relax next to. There are a good number of public parks and green spaces to provide some respite from the everyday noise of town life.
