Sutton Coldfield is a town within the suburbs of Birmingham. It is an affluent area approximately 13 kilometres away from Birmingham city centre. Sutton Park is one of Europe’s largest urban parks, and is a national nature reserve as well as a site of scientific interest. New Hall Valley Country Park is also close at hand and has a pretty working water mill in the grounds. There are several manor houses and other fine grand houses around Sutton Coldfield. Many have been turned into hotels over recent years, including New Hall Hotel, Moor Hall Hotel and Moxhull Hall Hotel. The Ramada Hotel is also in an old manor house. There are several listed historic buildings in the town and there are also a number of nice religious buildings. There are several shopping promenades and a variety of different pubs.
