Wellingborough is a market town in the English county of Northamptonshire. It is around 18 kilometres from the main town of Northampton, and is an easy drive to the renowned racing circuit of Silverstone. Wellingborough town was founded in the early 6th century, during the Saxon period. All Hallows Church is a lovely place to see in the medieval town. It is the town’s oldest building. The Jacobean Croyland Abbey is another interesting local sight. The Castle Theatre is a good place to see a show or live performance. The Three Silver Ladies is a lovely sculpture which depicts local Roman history, the river and the people of the town working together in harmony.
