Worksop is a large town, situated in the English county of Nottinghamshire. It is not too far to reach Nottingham, Leicester, Sheffield, and other surrounding cities, towns and villages. Worksop is on the edges of Sherwood Forest, which is famous for its associations with Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men, Maid Marion. Places of interest include Worksop Priory, which is today a church but was formerly an Augustinian Priory, Clumber Park, the Acorn Theatre, Mr Straw’s House, and various churches and museums.
