Gaerwen is a small village on Wales’ island of Anglesey. The entire island is easily navigated by car, and enjoys excellent road links. Gaerwen village is particularly close to the village with the longest station name, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, the settlement of Star, and Llangefni.
There are four pubs, three churches, a Mormon meeting house and a garden centre in Gaerwen. There is a war memorial in the village. Anglesey is a particularly lovely part of North Wales, with beautiful beaches, ancient sites, culture and wildlife. Parys Mountain shines brightly in the sun because of the copper in the rocks. It looks rather magical from afar. Children will love the Butterfly Palace and the Sea Zoo. Holyhead and its lighthouse and bird reserve is also popular. Long drives on perfect country roads are a favourite pastime on Anglesey, seeing where the delightful twists and turns lead.
