Gladstone Airport is located in the city of Gladstone in the state of Queensland. The airport is at a distance of 10 km from the city. The airport is 18m above sea line. It has one runway. Though it might seem small but it is extremely busy and ranks the 27th position in terms of increasing number of passengers for the year 2010-2011. The airport is maintained by the Gladstone Regional council. Earlier only Qantas took off from this airport and headed towards Brisbane. Since the rush of travelers, Virgin Australia also started to commence flights for Brisbane. Nowadays, Qantas has arranged for flights heading towards cities like Rockhampton, Townsville, and Mackey apart from Brisbane. To connect you to the local town, buses are available which runs from 6 am to 6 pm in week days.
