Chiusi is a town in the Siena Province in the Tuscany region of central Italy. It was one of the most powerful of the 12 city confederation of the Etruscans. It remained a powerful town when it was taken over by the Romans in the 3rd century BC. The lowland areas surrounding this town are a veritable treasure trove. Many of the discoveries have been excavated and are now housed in the Etruscan Museum in Chiusi, which is one of the most important collections of Etruscan remains in Italy. The Cathedral, built in the Romanesque style, is built over the top of an earlier basilica and is one of the most prominent buildings in the town. There is also the Labyrinth of Porsenna, which dates from around the 6th century BC. If you are going to explore further afield you will need a car rental offered VIP Cars.
