Horta is a single municipality and city located in the western part of the Archipelago of the Azores surrounding the island of Faial. The city has the Horta Regional Museum which has an everlasting exhibit, Exhibition of Capelinhos Volcano. The museum also has a huge collection of scale models of ships, buildings, and people imprinted from fig kernels carved by Euclides Rosa. The marina is a main stopover for yachts spanning the Atlantic and it walls and walkways are covered in paintings made by visitors. Peter's Cafe Sport has a collection artifacts carved from whale tooth and jawbone is a reference point for trans-Atlantic yachtsmen and sailors. Sao Salvador Church is one of the oldest and modest churches on the island dating back the first quarter of the 16th century.
