Ciudad Satellite usually called Satellite is a suburb in the Greater Municipality of Mexico city. It was founded in 1957 and continues to grow into a large city of its own. Satellite is most a middle-class area; however the suburb has split into distinct socio-economic segments over the years, as a result of growth. Ciudad Satellite was meant to be a sleeper-community for the city of Mexico City proper.
