Scotland’s Elgin is a great place for a short trip. It has several local attractions, as well as places to stay, eat and drink. The nightlife is varied, and food wise, one should sample some traditional haggis. A popular sight is the decorative and impressive Elgin Cathedral. It is often referred to as 'The Lantern of the North’ and is sure to create long-lasting memories for all who visit. Another popular sight is Dr Grays Hospital, with impressive high columns and a grand dome. Amongst Elgin’s churches, St Giles’ Church in the town centre is particularly pretty. Peaceful parks offer excellent spots for outdoor recreational activities. RAF Kinloss and RAF Lossiemouth are both near to Elgin. Car rental from VIP Cars is a great way to get around Elgin and neighbouring areas.
