Arnsberg is a small town in the Hochsauerland district of North Rhine-Westphalia Sate, Germany. The town was originally part of an abbey, but was developed into a borough by the Werl counts in the 1200s. The town has a range of attractions, from the historic castle, churches and other ancient buildings to modern sites such as a nature park and large river dam. There are many different hotels offering excellent value for money, comfort and service. The accommodations are mostly smaller inns and B&BS but a few larger hotels are present in the town. The food is mostly German, as you would expect, but a few other options such as a French Bistro and a couple of Chinese restaurants are also open if you want something different.
