Ein Bokek is a hotel and resort area on the shores of the Dead Sea. It is in Israel, near to Neve Zohor. The area is named after the nearby Bokek Stream, a gorge with water springs, canyon-esque scenery, and an abundance of different wildlife. There are hot springs, Zohar Hot Springs, 3 kilometres outside of Ein Bokek.
Several historical sites have been discovered in the area, including an old Roman fort and an ancient factory. Interestingly, the area is home to the lowest ATM cash machine in the world – it sits 421 metres below sea level! There are many places to eat, drinks, sleep, and shop in the area, and, of course, one must take a dip in the waters of the Dead Sea – try and sink and discover it’s impossible!
